About our necklaces pendants
Necklaces and pendants in platinum, 18k gold and sterling silver, made and finished in London. Chains are articulated so they follow the collarbone rather than sitting stiffly, and every clasp is tested by hand before a piece leaves the bench. Lengths run from 40cm, which sits at the base of the neck, to 60cm at the top of the breastbone — layering two or three of different lengths is the easiest way to make a collection feel like your own.
Common questions
What length necklace should I choose?
40cm sits at the base of the neck, 45cm on the collarbone, 50cm just below it, and 60cm at the top of the breastbone. If you are buying a first fine chain, 45cm suits most people and layers well with anything longer.
Can I wear a pendant in the shower or swimming?
We would rather you did not. Chlorine attacks the alloys in gold and salt water is worse; both will dull a polished surface over time. Take pieces off before swimming, bathing or exercise, and put them on after fragrance and hairspray.
How do I stop fine chains tangling?
Store each one separately rather than together in a box — a soft pouch per piece prevents most of it. Fastening the clasp before putting a chain away also helps.
Are pearls treated differently?
Yes. Pearls are porous and should never be immersed or put near an ultrasonic cleaner. Wipe with a barely damp cloth and put them on last. Restringing is a service we offer for as long as you own the piece.
